Impedance Threshold Device (ITD)

The ResQPOD impedance threshold device (ITD) is a simple intra-chest pressure regulator designed for non-invasive therapy and intravenous pressure adjustment. It allows increased perfusion when performing extended or basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The device allows you to reduce intravenous pressure during relaxation of the chest during resuscitation by limiting the flow of air into the chest. Negative pressure increases preload, lowers blood pressure, and improves blood flow to the brain and major organs.

Using ResQPOD impedance threshold device gives you better results. Blood flow to the heart is doubled and to the brain by 50%. It increases the patient’s chance of survival after cardiac arrest by 25%.
